| The
Ministry of Environment and forest, Govt. of India has
sanctioned Rs.18,12,400/- for research project on Experimental
Investigations on Environmental Impact of Using Tyre Pyrolysis
Oil in Internal Combustion Engines. The Project is authored
by Prof. M.C. Ramaswamy, Dean and Mr S. Murugan, Asst.
Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. |

| AICTE
has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 8.00 lakhs under their MODROBS
(Modernisation and Removal of Obsolescence) scheme to
the Department of Electronics based on the proposal "Automation
of Super Plastic Forming using Virtual Instrumentation".
Dr. J. B. Bhattacharjee, HOD, ECE will be the co-ordinator
for this project. |

| Research
activities in the campus |

| The
College has been approved to conduct research
by Anna University. This is in recognition
of the fact that adequate faculty with Doctoral
degrees are available in the campus. Also
the infra-structural facilities are suitable
for conducting researches. This approval has
been given for the Department of Mechanical
Engineering. The approval for the Department
of Computer Science Engineering is awaited. |

Projects cell |

| Dr.
Johanna Rajakumar, HOD (IBT), heads the IP
Cell, in order to encourage the student's
creativity and innovativeness in different
disciplines of Engineering & Technology.
A Total of 10 student's project were funded
by the management. |
