The
Department of Automobile Engineering was
started during the academic year 2006-07
with a sanctioned intake of 60. At present,
the department has got two faculty members.
The Department follows the syllabus as
per the affiliating Anna University and
to supplement the syllabus, Guest lectures
and Industrial visits are organized by
the Department.
The
Department also has SAE collegiate club
that conducts guest lectures delivered
by eminent personalities from major automotive
concerns and institutions. The Department
has regular interactions with major automotive
giants like Hyundai Motors, Hindustan
Motors, Mando Brakes, Sundaram Clayton,
Technical Stampings, etc.
